Andrew P. Hofer
Andrew P. Hofer - Managing Director, BBH Limited Duration Fund Co-Manager
Mr. Hofer is head of Taxable Fixed Income and a 26-year veteran of BBH. Mr. Hofer spent his first 10 years at BBH as both a generalist banker and then a financial institutions specialist. He joined Investment Management in 1998 as Head of Insurance Asset Management, and from 2003-2006 was Investment Management's Chief Operating Officer and Head of Risk Management. Mr. Hofer earned a BA in East Asian studies from Yale, and an MIA (Master of International Affairs) from Columbia University. He is also the Chairman of Learning Ally, a not-for-profit provider and advocate of accessible learning materials.
Neil Hohmann
Neil Hohmann, PhD - Senior Vice President, BBH Limited Duration Fund Co-Manager
Mr. Hohmann has directed BBH’s structured products strategy and credit research since 2007. He is also involved in the management of BBH’s fixed income positions in financial companies. Prior to joining Brown Brothers in 2006, Mr. Hohmann was a director of structured products at Munich Re for four years and prior to that, a director of research in capital markets at Swiss Re. Mr. Hohmann graduated Magna Cum Laude with Distinction from Yale University and earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago.
Paul Kunz
Paul Kunz, CFA - Senior Vice President, Credit Research
Mr. Kunz joined BBH in 2013 as a Senior Credit Analyst with 16 years of investing experience across high yield bonds, leveraged loans, and distressed credit restructurings. Prior to joining BBH Investment Management, Mr. Kunz was a director and senior analyst in the high yield strategies group of Deutsche Asset Management. He formerly worked in similar capacities for Oppenheimer Funds, Halcyon Management, and SunAmerica Asset Management. Mr. Kunz started his professional career as an in-house attorney for financial services institutions. Mr. Kunz earned a BS in Finance from Villanova University, a JD from St. John’s University School of Law, an LLM in Corporate Law from New York University School of Law, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Stephen Adam
Stephen Adam - Vice President, Credit Research
Mr. Adam is a 10-year veteran of BBH and is a corporate credit analyst focusing on banks and broker/dealers. Prior to joining BBH in 2004, he was an analyst in the North American Banks Division at Bank of New York. He began his career as a research analyst and completed the formal credit training program at Bank of America. Mr. Adam earned his BS in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany, and his MS in Business Administration from Texas Tech University.
Robert I. Matayev
Robert I. Matayev - Vice President, Credit Research
Mr. Matayev is an 11-year veteran of BBH and is a Corporate Credit Analyst. He is a credit generalist with a focus on investments in the cyclical industrial universe globally. Prior to joining BBH in 2003, Mr. Matayev spent seven years as a high yield credit analyst at Moody’s Investors Service, covering a variety of industrial sectors domestically. At Moody’s, he completed the Corporate Finance Credit Training Program. His credit expertise spans across the rating spectrum and collateral type. Mr. Matayev holds a BS from New York University and an MBA from the Stern School of Business of New York University.
Vaidas Nutautas
Vaidas Nutautas - Vice President, Credit Research
Mr. Nutautas joined BBH in 2013 as an analyst covering the Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) sector. Over the past 10 years he worked in the Structured Finance Group at Moody's Investors Service, focusing on rating new issuance CMBS conduit/fusion and single-asset large loan transactions, and commercial real estate (CRE) finance groups at Deutsche Bank and CIBC World Markets, originating, structuring, and underwriting CRE loans slated for securitization. Mr. Nutautas holds a BS degree in Economics from Connecticut College and is expected to earn his MBA in 2014 from Cornell's Johnson Graduate School of Management.
Rishi Sadarangani
Rishi Sadarangani, CFA - Vice President, Credit Research
Mr. Sadarangani has 17 years of broad fixed income and equity investment experience. He joined BBH Investment Management in 2011 as a senior research analyst focused on corporate credit (bond) research in the consumer products, healthcare, retail, and technology industries. He formerly worked in a similar capacity for the global credit investments division of AllianceBernstein with a focus on both leveraged bank loan and corporate bond [high yield and investment grade] research. Prior to joining AllianceBernstein, he worked as an equity and fixed income research analyst for Mutual of America Capital Management and as a special situations analyst for PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance. Mr. Sadarangani graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in computer science and engineering from the National Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
Gary Simonelli
Gary Simonelli - Vice President, Credit Research
Mr. Simonelli is a 24-year veteran of BBH and is a Vice President in the Structured Products Group. He is involved in the credit analysis and monitoring of consumer and equipment asset-backed securities and commercial mortgage-backed securities. Previously, Mr. Simonelli was employed by United Jersey Bank. He graduated from Rutgers University with a BA and received his MBA at St. John’s University.
Richard Wu
Richard Wu - Vice President, Credit Research
Mr. Wu has been with BBH since 2010 and is a corporate credit analyst. Prior to joining BBH, he worked at Assured Guaranty where he was an analyst in the CDO group and the Public Finance group. Mr. Wu received a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Jorge G. Aseff
Jorge G. Aseff, PhD - Vice President, Head of Quantitative Research
Mr. Aseff has been in the quantitative research team since he started his career in finance at BBH nine years ago. His team oversees our fixed income valuation framework, risk architecture, and performance attribution. Previously, Mr. Aseff was an Economics Professor at DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business in Chicago. He obtained a BS in Economics from the Universidad Católica Boliviana in La Paz, Bolivia, and an MS and PhD in Economics from Arizona State University's W. P. Carey School of Business.
Dawn Yarne
Dawn Yarne - Assistant Vice President, Structured Products
Ms. Yarne is a member of BBH’s fixed income investment team focusing on structured product research; she had previously worked in quantitative research. Prior to joining BBH in 2008, Ms. Yarne worked at UBS as a quantitative programmer in the Fixed Income Currency and Commodities unit. She received a BA in Mathematics and Chemistry from Bryn Mawr College, an MS in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.
Chris Ling
Chris Ling - Vice President, Portfolio Construction and Trading
Mr. Ling is a member of BBH’s fixed income investment team focusing on structured products. Prior to joining BBH in 2011, he worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as a senior analyst for structured products, prior to that he was at J.P. Morgan Asset Management as a fixed income portfolio manager and trader. Mr. Ling received his BS in Business Management from Binghamton University and his MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Tony Shaw
Tony Shaw - Vice President, Portfolio Management and Trading
Tony joined BBH in March, 2012 and oversees trading high-grade corporate credit as well as managing credit-opportunity accounts. He began his career at Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc. where he traded various equity-linked and fixed income arbitrage strategies. Tony obtained his B.S. in Economics from Colorado State University.
